Having done some reseach and spoken with knowledgeable friends (thanks Stevie JONES and Bill BOWTELL experience fishos from Yeppoon)
It turns out my guide will be Joe from Joe's Original Fishing Safaris on the Zambezi River around Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe.
A simple Paypal payment made it all possible for this once in a lifetime experience.
The ever helpful recepionist Megs saw to my every question for preparation being answered.

First moment on the water with Joe Rainy, little did we know what would evolve over the next 5 hours till dusk!
He was just over the moon with his ABU "sponsorship" by Pure Fishing as he guides guests along the Zambezi River.
The apparel will also be seen at the International Tigerfishing competition on Lake Karriba each year!
Before leaving the launching point, I tested my outfit and lure and had an immediate strike,
just 2 metres from the bank. No hook up!
Waters were fast running in places with strong undertows and quiet pools.
First to the boat was this nice 60 cm specimen.
We each has 5/6 more hits during the afternoon, with me landing a 43 cm and 52 cm tigerfish.
A third one came close and just an eyeball came in next.
Unlike some boats on the Zambezi River, Joe's is propeller driven outboard!
Heading back, how quickly 5 hours passed!
Thankyou Joe Rainsy for a memorable time, catching/boating/releasing two tigerfish, enjoying half a dozen strikes and very temorary hookups and whilst having another huge one a metre from the boat.
This is a Catch and
Release fishery, so the hook up and experiencing the run and seeing the
jumping is all part of the experience!
